Jou 10: Day 10

Writer: Fibro DivaFibro Diva

September is Chronic Pain Month.

Fibromyalgia is a form of chronic pain. Yes, everyone has pain from time to time, but chronic pain and acute pain (everyday aches and pains) are two different animals.

Acute pain is pain that usually has an identifiable cause and suddenly and lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several weeks. On the other hand, chronic pain is paint that is ongoing and lasts longer than three to six months. Chronic pain may or may not have an identifiable cause.
