If at first the pcp don't succeed, do it yourself

Saw my pcp. Another waste of time, won’t waste precious energy discussing it. I’ll just investigate my old cardiac specialist and see if he’s still practicing. I hate the thought of the drive to his office, but I can’t wait for a local one to decide to answer the referral request of the pcp, or hold my breath hoping she sends it.

Update: I got in to see the partner of my old cardiologist. He sent me off for a chemical stress test, an EKG, and an echocardiogram, AND, submitted a cardiac release to my surgeon. I still haven't received a name for a referral from my pcp yet (a month later).
