I was a girl scout, be prepared

Today’s educational text discussed pre-habilitation, pre-op physical therapy. I’m a step ahead because I went through physical therapy last month. Doc wants me to make sure that I am doing my pt exercises every day up until surgery day as my pain allows. If my pain is extremely high, as it is, doc doesn’t want me to push myself.

I remembered to call my insurance company and make sure that my surgery and overnight observation hospital stay were pre-certified. I was informed that neither the surgery nor the observation stay required pre-certification. If there are complications and I will have to stay more than one day, then I need pre-certification. I forgot to ask about a visiting physical therapist as opposed to going out to a facility so I will have to call back tomorrow.
