Today I saw my surgeon and he removed the last of the bandaging/stiches cover. It didn't hurt, Basically, it was simply doc pulling on some tape.

Once the taping was removed, the leg seems to be a little less numb. I wanted to sing "Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty I'm free at last." For a moment, I felt like a caged bird that had escaped its confines. This is hard to explain because the leg feels like a piece of concrete that I'm dragging around. Now just a little less dead weighty.

I can walk around my room, and from my room to my kitchen (just a few feet) without my walker but I tire very easily.

Doc was a little worried because I was short of breath, but I think that was because it's quite a distance from the waiting room to the x-ray room to the exam room and my gastroparesis and Fibromyalgia have been active lately.
